How to look up a bar code number. 

 On occasion, you may need to look up a bar code number to see who is the manufacturer that is associated with that bar code.  Fortunately there are a few databases available to do that.

  Unfortunately, we have not found a database that is complete. The GS1.org database is likely the largest, although they only have vendors who purchased their bar code through GS1 itself.   Since there are millions of bar codes that were legally purchased from third party vendors over the years, this database is definitely not complete.
