SCORE - The Service Corps of Retired Executives - a non-profit, government sponsored entity, will remain mostly operational in the event of an imminent government shutdown.   Earlier this week, SCORE had advised volunteers that they could not counsel small businesses due to a lack of liability insurance coverage in the event of a shutdown.   That position was revised today.  Although SCORE offices will remain shut and official SCORE business will not be conducted, volunteers may continue to respond to requests for assistance from small business owners.

All kinds of useful business tools and information, including basic business plans and outlines, can be found on the SCORE website - www.score.org
