Bar codes are now available for anyone to connect their physical world with the digital world. This was the intention of stickybits founders Billy Chasen and Seth Goldstein when they decided to create a way for every day individuals to customize bar codes and send them out into the world. The concept is that a customer purchases a pack of Stickybits comprised of unique bar codes,
Upon scanning the bar code after it has been linked, another user can view the content and even add more content if they would like. Users can receive updates when their bar codes have been scanned and the locations in which they were scanned. Multiple support components are available through the stickybits website such as printing your own bar codes, transferring an active stickybits bar code to a t-shirt or other merchandise, or attaching additional content to existing bar codes. The bar codes come in packs of 20 and can be purchased through Amazon.com.
