New Direction for Barcode Scanning
A new mobile bar code scanner from ShowClix has been created specifically for Droid platform devices. Using the Axess mobile application from ShowClix, devices like the Google Nexus One, Motorola Droid, and HTC myTouch are being converted into instant bar code scanners.
This solution is ideal for event hosts and promoters in the concept that these devices can work independently without being synced to a network. While the devices should be connected to wi-fi or cellular network in order to operate, they are also capable of still continuing to work while offline. The application can be used on 1D or 2D bar codes including mobile tickets which appear on the screen of the ticket holder’s cell phone.
