This end-user is seeking a simple bar code solution for a fabric store; her case is described below.  Can you suggest a solution?

"We are opening a small fabric store, and I'm looking for a bar code solution in two parts.

Part one is to affix a bar code to each bolt of fabric for inventory purposes.

Part two, is to scan the bar code at the cutting table, input the amount of fabric cut, and print a ticket with the bar code and the cut amount. At the register, scan the bar code on the ticket, input the cut amount, and make the sale. I had figured out the original bar code and the register piece, but I'm not sure how to handle the in between step at the cutting table.

And since we are just getting started, we have a small budget so are looking for an economical solution. Thank you for any information or advice you can provide."

I would recommend Polar POS to provide the solution, it has been reliable and has shelf label maker. It is an easy to use point of sale solution, much better than others.
