Ferguson Joins AIM Board of Directors

Cranberry Township, PA – July 28, 2015 – AIM, the international industry association and recognized authority on innovation and technologies in automatic identification and data capture (AIDC), including barcode, RFID, RTLS, NFC and the Internet of Things (IoT), announced today the appointment of Donald H. Ferguson to the Board of Directors for AIM, Inc.

Mr. Ferguson has been President of Lyngsoe Systems Ltd., based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, since it was established in 2001 by its parent company headquartered in Denmark. In Canada, Lyngsoe Systems Ltd. operates a radio frequency identification (RFID) test centre and R&D facility, which is considered as one of the leading RFID innovators in the world. In his current role, Mr. Ferguson is responsible for all aspects of strategic, operational and business development.

During his career spanning more than 25 years, Mr. Ferguson has been a leader in product design, implementation and strategic planning related to RFID. His work has contributed to multiple patents related to RFID and he has been instrumental in the design and installation of one of the world’s largest RFID networks – stretching across 55 countries – which tracks mail flows globally.

A graduate of Ryerson University with a degree in electronic engineering, Mr. Ferguson has served as Chair of the Canadian Advisory Committee to JTC1/SC31 since 2004, in addition to active memberships with the Mississauga Board of Trade and the IEEE. Prior to joining Lyngsoe, he held executive positions with Kasten Chase Applied Research, Disys Corporation and Dicon Systems Ltd.
