Bak USA Showcases Its Rugged, Windows-Based Tablet at #MODEX 18

BUFFALO, N.Y.— March 28, 2018—Bak USA, a social enterprise that builds mobile computers in Buffalo, N.Y., today announced that it will demo its rugged Seal tablet for manufacturing, logistics, and materials handling at MODEX 2018April 9-12, in Atlanta.

“Technology is transforming the supply chain we once knew and providing workers with digital tools that enhance productivity and streamline workflow,” said Christian Bak, president of product development at Bak USA. “But consumer devices rarely meet enterprise needs. The Seal was built for tough jobs and designed to keep up with the day-to-day demands of the modern manufacturer.”

The Seal tablet from Bak USA offers power, versatility, and mobility in a rugged, industrial-grade design. It’s built to IP65 standards and engineered to resist drops, shocks, spills, and more. It’s equipped with a Quad-Core Intel® processor, 8GB RAM, and powered by the business-friendly Windows 10 OS—enabling employees to manage workflow, simplify the assembly process, and exchange information in the most extreme environments.

Available in a variety of configurations, the Seal is Bak USA’s strongest, smartest tool. Standard features include a built-in fingerprint reader and flashlight, NFC chip, front and rear cameras, a hand strap, multiple USB ports, and an active stylus. Optional hardware add-ons include a barcode scanner, and an RFID reader. The Seal can also be configured with optional 4G LTE from Verizon Wireless.
