Commercial Drone Uses QR Codes For Automated Delivery

Source: Motherboard - the world's fastest commercial drone has been delivering blood supplies in Africa by parachute, and then returning to its home base. 

QRcode drone   According to the article:

" The staffer then scans a QR code on the order corresponding to the medical clinic’s location and the drone is able to determine the best route to its destination.The drones then autonomously pilot themselves to the recipients before dropping the blood attached to a parachute."

The planes have logged almost 200,000 miles of operation in the last two years.  It's very impressive and a great way to get supplies to rural areas.
